Not everyone has credit cards. While it may not be good not to have, credit cards do help us during certain time such as paying for expensive weddings (you get more KrisFlyer Miles this way and still get that honeymoon you want) or treating every colleague because you are promoted or leaving. That is why some people have credit cards, to help them earn some cash too.

There are ways to save some cash on credit cards too. Consider the transfer interest rate and annual fees. Taking note of the upfront fees when withdrawing the money from the ATM is important as you don’t want to spend more than what you have planned.

You can also request for a lower rate by calling the banks with a little research before asking for a lower rate. You don’t want to jump into the water without knowing that there are piranhas, do you? Read here for a little more detail on interest rates when you don’t pay the bills in full.

Finally, before you apply for any credit card, check and compare credit cards.

When my Page Rank (PR) dropped, I was upset. That was because I had spent months on this domain and managed to get it to PR3 after 4 months of hard work only to see it drop drastically to PR0 overnight. Total devastation.

[via Flickr]

However, there is not much I can do except not to link to link farms and those suspicious looking websites that are suspiciously looking like they are culling links to increase either Technorati ranking or Alexa ranking.

When the PR changes began, everyone was trying to figure how it worked and what to do to rectify it. How PR worked to me is a mystery despite the given equations. I get more confused even with the various examples of Page A link to Page B, etc. Perhaps with a colourful spreadsheet, this would explain Page Rank better.

The effects of the number of pages also affect PR. The equation given as below:

PR(A) = 0.25 + 0.75 (10 + PR(B) + PR(C) + PR(D))

I’m not quite sure about sub domains will cause the entire domain’s Page Rank to be affected but judging from the recent turn of events, I guess it could contribute.

Poor Greme. While on honeymoon, his site, Lazylaces, has been hacked. It’s one of my favourite site for trying out point and click games and the hackers decided to make use of his off time to place viagra, valium and other medical related posts that don’t read coherently in the site.It has been bombarding my RSS feed and I feel that the hackers or spammers or whoever that is will have rotting fingers soon from doing these evil spam. I hope that Greme has backed up his site before going for his honeymoon and restore everything back in order.
