Lowest Unique Bid Wins Is Back?

Are we still biting the “Lowest Unique Bid Wins” concept after the well known Tatarah abandon this idea barely a month after their hype up launched in Singapore? I am not so sure about that.

This auction site, Auction Universal was featured in the papers on their “Lowest Unique Bid Wins” concept the very same concept that Tatarah had abandon.

After reading the article, it turns out that Tatarah was not the first auction site to use the “Lowest Unique Bid Wins” concept in Singapore. Auction Universal is! This is something which is unheard of till the papers featured them. The auction site was started by a 27 year old Singaporean and his brother. They used six months to set up the auction site. According to the report, he was doing his own coding for the auction.

Maybe it was a small start up thus the site seems too simple for my taste. There wasn’t any fancy graphics like Tatarah or promotion going on. The products featured were kind of limited as well. There were six items for bidding only. Kind of disappointing but hey we had to remind ourselves that this was just a startup by 2 brothers!

Since I miss the bidding for Nintendo Wii and Play Station Portable at Tatarah might as well give Auction Universal a try. As the site was still not well known among Singaporean, I might just get lucky and get the Nintendo Wii with my lowest unique bid!
